Pak Hermintono was the rest of the national staff until the end of 1999 when he left after seven years of service. He is now Asst. Pastor of Tayu GITJ Church. He and his wife Johanna are pictured with the Sr. Pastor of the church.

March 16, 2000 was Idul Adha as celebrated by most Muslims in Jakarta. It commemorates the almost sacrifice of Isaak, or Ishmael in the Muslim scriptures. People gather for prayer, blocking many streets so they can sit in rows facing Mecca since the mosques could never hold everyone. After the prayers donated goats and cows are slaughtered at the mosques and the meat distributed to the poor. The corrals of goats and cows had appeared everywhere the two weeks before.
